The Apprenticeship

Launched by Energy & Utility Skills (EU Skills), the sector skills council for the gas, power, and waste management and water industries, the training is fully accredited by the Waste Management Industry Training & Advisory Board (WAMITAB). |
The training itself consists of a number of key elements that are common to both supervisory and operational levels such as: how to work safely within the waste and recycling industry, understanding the purpose of environmental protection and how to identify and resolve disagreements.
Level 2 learners can then choose from additional modules such as: understanding reasons and targets for recycling and maintaining confidentiality of information. While Level 3 learners can select from modules including: policy & legislation and understanding management systems.
Qualification
It can take from just a matter of months to a couple of years to become fully certified. On completion, the newly graduated professionals will be the proud owners of either a Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Waste Management (QCF). This nationally recognised qualification is valued by employers everywhere, providing the perfect launch pad for your chosen career.
