The Apprenticeship

The training itself consists of a number key elements that are common to all security roles such as: how to communicate effectively, assessing and controlling security threats, and how to tackle the necessary documentation. Apprentices can then choose from a wide selection of additional courses in order to tailor their training to their desired career: how to operate CCTV, handling dogs, covert operations, how to deal with aggressive behaviour, understanding the law and how to make a legal arrest.

It can take from just a matter of months to a couple of years to become fully certified, depending on an apprentice’s experience and qualifications. On completion, the newly graduated professionals will be the proud owners of a Level 2 Diploma in Providing Security Services (QCF). This nationally-recognised qualification is valued by employers everywhere and will provide the perfect kick start to your chosen career.
