Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeships

With our expert guidance and placements, you will own your own boiler suit and be in an engineering environment where you gain hands on experience that comprehensively covers all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair. You will practice health and safety whilst analysing techniques to fix vehicles, whilst also performing checks, seasonal and annual to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and safe to drive.

Qualifications

Apprenticeships are available in three levels; you must already be in a working environment in the specific industry and are willing to progress further.

Level 1: (Award) You are new to the industry and have no prior experience or knowledge. Level 2: (Certificate) You have some knowledge and experience in vehicles and the automotive industry. You are looking to further your career. Level 3: (Diploma) You have a lot of knowledge and experience in the automotive industry and are looking to gain more responsibility.

Apprenticeships generally consist of three areas, giving the optimum mix of academic training and practical skills needed to progress in your chosen career, these are made up of a:

• Technical Certificate
• NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair which includes Auto electrical, Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle and Motorcycle).
• Key Skills

Ideally you will start from level 2 and work your way to level 3 (The Advanced Apprenticeship) on completion of which you will become fully certified. You can start with an award that takes only months to complete and then work your way towards level 2 if you are completely new to your field.
